Lesbian Bedrooms II, 2011

In the two years following Lesbian Bedrooms I, my position within the lesbian community shifted. This project became about discussing the instability of a lesbian identity. What can or does lesbian mean, when it is removed from the rigid context of a female assigned, same-sex orientation? How are the photographs received when the subject is no longer immediately recognized as a lesbian, but the body of work defines them as such?
